Group Leader Training

The TEE Group Leader training gives you the skills to confidently lead an interactive small group using the detailed lesson plans in the group leader guide.

A typical TEE training includes:

  • What is TEE?
  • Elements of TEE: personal study, weekly group discussion, practical life application
  • TEE methodology – role of leader as facilitator (not lecturer); regular (usually weekly) small group discussion and application; interactive format
  • “Taster lessons” where participants experience the TEE methodology first-hand
  • The educational approach of TEE materials – simple (not simplistic), sequential, repetitive, with Scripture memorisation

More on what a typical TEE training includes:

  • TEE materials: Abundant Life, Life of Christ, and many other intermediate and advanced
  • courses
  • Facilitator skills – how to promote discussion, reflection, and fellowship in your group. The importance of prayer.
  • Participant-led practice lessons
  • An action plan for organising new TEE groups – facilitator, dates, location, resources needed

What is expected from the TEE training participants?

Participants are asked to contribute a modest fee for meals, snacks, resource materials (plus lodging if necessary), and a small amount to cover the trainer’s costs.

“The goal of all TEE courses is personal transformation, leading to transformation of the local context where God has placed His people.”

– TEE Aotearoa
