WHAT DOES TEE AOTEAROA DO?

TEE Aotearoa offers training for small group facilitators. A typical TEE Aotearoa Facilitator training is a 1.5 to 2-day hands-on workshop that includes TEE methodology, approach, and resources, along with practice sessions with the participants.

Special emphasis is placed on developing participants’ ability to facilitate discussion rather than “lecture” their study group.

Participants are encouraged to create an action plan for organising a new TEE study group in their location.

Tools to Equip and Empower (TEE)

TEE is a tried and tested approach to discipleship and leadership training that takes place in the local church with the goal of ‘every believer becoming a disciple and worker for Jesus’.

  • 70 languages – TEE materials are available in many languages.

  • 100 countries – TEE classes exists worldwide.

  • 50 years experience – TEE curricula supports church growth.

TEE originally stood for ‘Theological Education by Extension’  but is now also known as Tools to Equip and Empower. TEE material allows churches to disciple people in their heart language, in their location and in their context.

OUR VALUES

We share the values that our ministry partner, S.E.A.N. (Study by Extension for All Nations) has.

To see local churches worldwide empowering all their members for:

  • whole-life discipleship

  • mission
  • ministry in their context

Our mission is

  • to provide accessible Biblical training materials

  • to partner with others to make them available globally

  • equipping others to use the materials effectively in each context

Our goal is to increase Bible literacy, enabling people to come together to discover practical ways to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.

To effectively and efficiently work towards achieving our vision and mission, we believe how we work is just as important as what we do, thus, we seek to uphold the following values:

  • Prayerfulness

  • Biblical Discipleship

  • Service

  • Partnership

  • Local Ownership & Leadership

  • Accessibility

TEE is thoughtfully crafted to empower and enrich the local church.

“Every believer is a learner and worker for Jesus”

TEE is used in a wide range of settings worldwide. In some places, it is used as a multi-year discipleship program within the local church to equip members for ministry. In emerging church contexts, accredited TEE programs train and equip local pastors. TEE’s goal is for every believer to be a disciple and worker for Jesus.
